Juana Villamar Bello is a mountain indigenous woman from the central Mexican mountains, now living in Guadalajara, Mexico. We are trying to develop a link between ourselves and Juana's community and her bark paper paintings have been displayed in the Bristol area for the past year. Recently, her work was included in an Art and Geography project at St Mary Redcliffe Primary school where the children studied her work and produced their own paintings, which will be displayed at the trail too.
There will also be a selection of Mexican silver jewellery and beaded Chaquira displayed. Please see website for details.
