Over the years many dancers, poets, musicians, choirs and other entertainers have stepped forward to take part in our arts trail sometimes doing public performance for the first time. It is inspiring and exciting to present all this local experienced and emerging talent. We are delighted to present another weekend of Performances for Art on the Hill 2017. The Eating Room will be serving drinks and delicious food all weekend from the Community Centre kitchen.
SATURDAY 7th OCTOBER
1pm - 5pm Windmill Hill Community Centre – small meeting room
As you make your way around Windmill Hill, drop by and take in some music and poetry featuring a local DJ, solo artists, poets, bands and dancers from across the hill, presented by our MC/Poets Tim Vosper and Jeremy Toombs? Look out for performance details outside the venue. The Eating Room will be serving drinks and food all afternoon.
7.30pm - 10pm Windmill Hill Community Centre – large meeting room
After a day of viewing art, put up your tired feet and enjoy a relaxing evening of singers, singing groups, poets, players and performers, with good food and drinks served from the Bar and Kitchen! Come along to socialise with other artists and performers and relax with friends and family. Look out for performance details outside the venue.
SUNDAY 8th OCTOBER
1pm – 5pm Victoria Park Performance Tent
Another afternoon of entertainment from local musicians, poets, dancers and singers. Take a break from walking around the venues and be entertained while enjoying Mrs Brown’s amazing cakes and refreshments! Look out for performance details outside the venue. In case of wet weather, these events will happen in the Community Centre small meeting room.
Our Park Licence does not allow alcohol to be consumed when watching the Park events, nor smoking inside the Performance tent or Community Centre
Many thanks to Shaun Hennessy, the Victoria Park-Action Group (VPAG) and Windmill Hill Community Centre for their assistance in staging these events.
All Art on the Hill performances will be free of charge and are suitable for all ages. Donations towards the cost of the Arts Trail are welcome.
